Terms and Conditions for Living Legend

Welcome to Living Legend! By using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before making a purchase.

1. Services Provided

Living Legend provides custom-written chapters based on customer interviews. Services include:

  • Conducting interviews via Zoom.

  • Transcribing interviews using OpenAI technology.

  • Generating written chapters using a proprietary AI-based system.

  • Delivering a PDF version of the chapter with one round of revisions.

  • Printing and shipping the chapter via a third-party service (currently Lulu.com).

2. Customer Responsibilities

  • Accuracy of Information: Customers are responsible for the accuracy of the information they provide during interviews. Living Legend is not liable for any slanderous or false content provided by the customer.

  • Timely Feedback: Customers must provide feedback for revisions within one week of receiving the initial chapter draft. Failure to do so may delay the completion process.

  • Chapter Expiry: If a customer does not provide necessary feedback or complete the process within six months of the interview, the chapter will expire, and Living Legend will not be obligated to deliver further services.

3. Ownership and Data Usage

  • Ownership: Customers retain all rights to their completed chapters. Any applicable copyright belongs to the customer.

  • Data Usage: Living Legend may use interview recordings and transcripts internally to improve AI systems, prompt engineering, and train interviewers. No personally identifiable information will be included in resulting models or prompts.

4. Refund and Cancellation Policy

  • Refunds: Living Legend will make best efforts to address issues with the final product. If a customer remains unsatisfied, they may request a refund. Customers who receive a refund will not be eligible for future services.

  • Cancellations: Customers may cancel their order up until the interview. Once the interview is complete, cancellations are no longer allowed.

5. Third-Party Services

Living Legend is not responsible for errors, delays, or issues caused by third-party services such as printing and shipping. While we will assist in resolving such issues, we cannot guarantee successful resolution.

6. Liability Disclaimer

  • Living Legend’s liability is limited to the amount paid for the service.

  • We are not responsible for indirect or consequential damages, including emotional distress, lost profits, or reputational harm.

7. Confidentiality

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your data. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information.

8. Modifications to Terms

Living Legend reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Customers are responsible for reviewing the terms before each purchase. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any updates.

9. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of California.

10. Dispute Resolution

All disputes arising from these terms will be resolved through binding arbitration in California. By agreeing to these terms, you waive your right to pursue disputes in court.

11. Restrictions on Use

  • Customers must be at least 18 years old to use our services.

  • Customers must not provide slanderous or defamatory information during interviews.

12. Intellectual Property

All tools, software, and processes used by Living Legend remain the exclusive property of Living Legend. Customers are prohibited from copying, distributing, or reverse-engineering these tools.

13. Termination of Service

Living Legend reserves the right to refuse or terminate service at our discretion. Customers whose services are terminated will receive a full refund.

14. Agreement to Terms

By proceeding with your purchase, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
